Certificate IV in Frontline Management
Overview
The Frontline Management initiative was developed to help organisations improve productivity and management performance in the frontline. It is a competency-based program based on ten units of competence that describe required standards of performance in the workplace.
Who should Attend
Managers working at the frontline of an organisation, from supervisors and team leaders, through to business unit and divisional managers. The breadth and depth of the capabilities developed during this qualification enable participants to apply leadership and management competencies across a range of different work roles in a variety of organisational contexts and industry sectors.
Course Structure
A 10 unit qualification made up of 4 core units and 6 electives
AIM Program Units Core units — complete all 4 units BSBMGT402A Implement operational plan BSBOHS407A Monitor a safe workplace or BSBWOR402A Promote team effectiveness BSBMGT401A Show leadership in the workplace Electives — 6 electives are required, including at least 3 from the list of specialist electives below.
Specialised electives — select 3 units BSBMGT404A Lead and facilitate off-site staff BSBRES401A Analyse and present research information BSBWRT401A Write complex documents BSBCMM401A Make a presentation BSBPMG510A Manage projects BSBMGT403A Implement continuous improvement BSBWOR404A Develop work priorities BSBCUS401A Coordinate implementation of customer service strategies BSBINN301A Promote innovation in a team environment BSBWOR401 A Establish effective workplace relationships BSBFIA402A Report on financial activity Other options for electives. Another 3 electives are required. These can be selected from the units above that are not already selected, or any other units from any Training Package. At least two must be from a Cert IV. The remaining unit may be from a Cert III or Diploma level qualification. How do I Obtain the Qualification
- Attend your nominated workshops
- Complete the assessment tasks at the conclusion of the workshop
- You may also be able to obtain credits towards some of the units of competence via Recognition of Prior Learning or Mutual Recognition
What does Assessment Involve
- Assessment is via completion of Workplace Application Projects
- These projects require you to compile a range of evidence to demonstrate your competence
