Sir John Storey, Inaugural Federal President delivers first public lecture on behalf of the newly formed Institute of Industrial Management 

1949

Institute of Industrial Management changes name to the Australian Institute of Management

1952

Membership reaches 1,000

1958

AIM established in the ACT

1962

AIM creates history by becoming the first organization to sponsor an Advanced Management Program conducted by a group of American Professors

1967

The Institute expands and moves to Walker Street, North Sydney

1972

AIM income was just over $500,000. In 2003 revenue approaches $18.0 million
